Week of October 29, 2017



Dear Students and Parents,

    The highlight of last week had to be our collaboration to design and test catapults in order to better understand accuracy and precision for our STEM challenge.  The students had a blast using the Maker Space room in our school to help create and redesign their catapults.  We will continue to collaborate as a team to accomplish different challenges and tasks laid before us. 
    We have another fun week ahead packed with exciting opportunities to come together as a community to attend mass as a school for the Solemnity of All Saints.  We will also be participating in a Fall walk/run on Halloween and all students are encouraged to wear Black and Orange and of course comfortable running shoes.

Join us for
Veterans Mercy Week

We have a great activities lined up all week. We look forward to seeing you as we celebrate with mercy this Veteran's week.

11/6 Monday: Hero Readers-Military Veterans, Active Duty/Guard & Reserve parents/family reading military friendly books to classes. Making a “Thank a Veteran” Card. Our Hero Wall will be in the Hall displaying military family & friend photos.

11/7 Tuesday: Veterans meet and greet; coffee, juice and pastries with St. Michael-display and Veteran Appreciation Posters

11/8 Wednesday: Bringing awareness for states or other countries our students have all lived. Telling the story of our roots. Out of Uniform fundraiser!

11/9 Thursday: Military Working Dog Demonstration

11/10 Friday: Mass

11/11 Saturday: Veterans Day

20th-21st: School in session (NO PM Bus, Normal Before & Aftercare)
22nd-24th: School Closed, Thanksgiving Holiday
