Dear Students and Parents,
Summer Learning
We are striving to be a State of Maryland “Green” School. One example we can show of being intentional with how we use our resources and demonstrate 21st century educational best practices, we are transitioning our summer academic review to an online format. Thank you for joining us in being a school that embraces these sound best practices.
Download free eBooks from our local libraries. Save money and encourage reading. Most of the assigned reading in our St. Augustine Middle School, can be downloaded as an eBook from one of these three libraries.

I want to wish all of you a blessed and safe summer vacation! It has been another incredible year filled with fun memories and a lot of new learning. I hope you apply those math skills throughout the summer as you count laps and yardage while you swim, calculate percent discounts at the mall and outlets, and budget and save the earnings you make for summer jobs.
I encourage you to always inquire, question, and think! Take time to go on adventures, invent new games, and to collaborate and spread joy in the lives of your family and friends. It has been a joy teaching all of you and I look forward to welcoming in the new 6th grade this August and to welcome back our rising 7th and 8th grade student leaders.
Thanks,
Mr. Joseph Miller
